Special Technologies
Each TRC project presents its own unique set of circumstances. There are special considerations that must be addressed across a broad range of emergency situations.

Healthcare/Hospitals/Labs – Special treatment must be given to specialized and costly medical equipment, telecommunications and information technologies. Additionally, sensitive HIPAA provisions must be observed with regard to records and documents. The security of regulated drugs must also be established under the authority of the appropriate responsible persons in the Disaster Recovery Team.

Document & Media Recovery – The preservation of vital documents and archives is especially critical in those circumstances in which electronically stored media has been compromised. TRC’s expertise in the preservation of such material is extensive based on its experience with water, humidity and temperature control. Mold cannot live in a frozen state and TRC’s ability to quickly stabilize material through freezing can prevent further deterioration of documents and stop mold development before it has a chance to start.

Schools, Churches & Other Public Access Buildings – It is important to restore these facilities as quickly as possible to ensure the safety and well-being of occupants when they return. After quickly securing the building itself, rapid and proper application of water extraction, drying, environmental controls and other technologies must be applied so that other damage and hazardous conditions such as mold do not develop and a healthful level of air quality is restored.
